The second Cognitive Frailty Interdisciplinary Network conference will be held at Lancaster University Health Innovation campus in June 2024.
The conference will be held in person, however, some elements of the conference will be available online as well. The conference will consist of research presentations and a Sandpit activity on the second day with an emphasis on Earlier Career Researchers leading proposals for small project funding (“pump priming”), with more experienced mentors supporting.
What is the Network?
The Cognitive Frailty Interdisciplinary Network harnesses knowledge of biological, health, environmental and psychosocial mechanisms of cognitive frailty across the lifespan so that we can develop integrated interventions.
This network aims to bridge the gaps between basic, clinical and social science research. This will allow us to better understand how biological mechanisms relate to lifestyle factors, such as educational attainment, and environmental inequalities that correlate with cognitive frailty later in life.
