This session explored how the Northwest is rising to the challenges of health inequalities. There was a focus on the Cheshire and Merseyside Marmot programme and what progress has been made alongside learning for the future, in particular where shifting resources might help and how leaders should resist attention being drawn to short term fixes.
The newly launched Health Equity Network was introduced, and Alan also brought perspectives from work in Lancashire & South Cumbria.
