The UK National Health Service spends over £27bn a year on goods and services and presents a big opportunity to businesses looking to have their innovative healthcare products and services procured by the NHS.
Understanding procurement procedures can however be complex and selling to the NHS can come with its own challenges. To be successful you need to know what is involved, the processes and know that your innovation is ready to go.
At this Excel in Health workshop delegates were guided through the NHS procurement channels, presented with the factors you needed to consider and given advice on the potential barriers they may face when selling to the NHS.
We were delighted that this session was presented by the Lancashire Procurement Cluster.
In addition, the Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI) also presented. They covered:
- Role and reach of ABHI
- ABHI Key Priorities for 2024 - Growth & Regulation
- Key work areas for ABHI
