The Mastering Cholesterol webinar series was aimed at healthcare professionals from the north west coast working in primary, secondary and tertiary care. The series will provide you with the confidence, knowledge and skills to navigate a comprehensive, holistic approach to treating patients with high cholesterol across all age groups. Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease is responsible for 25 per cent of deaths in the UK and is the number one cause of premature death in deprived areas.
There have been significant recent developments in managing cholesterol. Updated guidance, introduction of novel therapies and treatment targets can be confusing. This series will help you to understand and apply lipid management guidance to your local population, by exploring each element in detail, demystifying the approach and encouraging peer-driven discussion.
Events were hosted by clinicians from Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire and South Cumbria, with each session focusing on a specific sub-topic of lipid management, delivered by specialists from both primary and secondary care. Questions were invited in advance of each event, enabling rich peer discussion during the second half of each session.
