This event will consider how the learning health system, which has been developed through the Connected Health Cities programme, might be developed and used in the future to enhance learning and improve patient outcomes.

The event is aimed at bringing together the Connected Health Cities teams with academic, clinical, business informatics, industry, commissioners and service users to look at how the outcomes from the programme can support the development and evaluation of services in our region, as well as improving front-line patient care.

We will hear about the Connected Health Cities pathway work on COPD, alcohol and seizures and the impacts gained so far, as well as discussing potential points for collaboration in utilising programme outcomes. The event will also be an opportunity to co-design how we develop this work and discuss the potential for moving forward with a more effective use of data and how we develop opportunities for doing this.

Speakers include:

  • Professor Dennis Keogh, Chief Executive, AIMES
  • Professor Sumi Helal, Chair in Digital Health, Lancaster University
  • Professor Mike Pearson, University of Liverpool
  • Dr Keith Bodger, Senior Lecturer – Institute of Translational Medicine, University of Liverpool
