The Coaching Academy has worked with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Hacking Medicine Team to gain expertise and knowledge about healthcare hackathons.
A hackathon is a large-scale event, uniting diverse industries and individuals to find solutions to a problems in a limited timeframe.
People from different backgrounds and expertise join forces as teams to focus on a specific healthcare problem (e.g., children’s health, patient care in care homes) and create innovative, disruptive ideas and solutions. The team then pitches the solution to a panel of judges who score the viability.
By bringing together diverse thinking with the common goal of solving a challenge, problems can be diagnosed from multiple perspectives.
